  • When is the Annual Seymour Oktoberfest?
    Wednesday, September 28th: Select food booths open (Non-profits that signed up only) Biergarten (5 p.m. - 10 p.m.) Carnival (5 p.m. - 10 p.m.) ​ Thursday, October 5th: All booths open (11 a.m. - 11 p.m.) Biergarten (11 a.m. - 11 p.m.) Carnival (5 p.m. - 11 p.m.) ​ Friday, October 6th & Saturday, October 7th: All booths open (11 a.m. - 11 p.m.) Biergarten (11 a.m. - 11 p.m.) Carnival (1 p.m. - 11 p.m.)
  • Where is the Seymour Oktoberfest?
    The Seymour Oktoberfest is located in downtown Seymour, IN. Seymour is located approximately an hour south of Indianapolis and an hour north of Louisville.
  • Where can I park?
    There is limited parking available throughout the downtown area. However, our festival operates a park and ride system from the Seymour High School parking lot. There is no fee for this parking, so we encourage you to take advantage of it. The park and ride schedule is as follows: ​ Thursday- 4 p.m. - 11:15 p.m. Friday- 11 a.m. - 11:15 p.m. Saturday- 4 p.m. (after the parade) - 11:15 p.m.
  • How much is admission?
    There is no admission fee to the Seymour Oktoberfest!
  • Can I bring my pet to the festival?
    We do not allow pets at the Seymour Oktoberfest. However, service animals are always welcome!
  • Can I smoke or vape at the festival?
    No smoking or vaping!
  • Do vendors accept credit/debit cards?
    Not all of our vendors accept credit/debit cards, so please bring cash. We do have multiple ATM's in the festival area.
  • Do you have a map of the festival grounds?
    Yes, it is under the HOME tab!
  • Do you have a list of the vendors?

  • What hotels are available?
    There are several hotel companies in Seymour and greater Jackson County. You can view available lodging at: http://www.jacksoncountyin.com/lodging/
  • Is there dedicated handicap parking?
    Handicap parking is available at the Total Tan, Jackson County Library and Crossroads Park parking lots.
  • Are there ATM's on the festival grounds?
    Yes, ATM's locations are marked on the festival map. * South end of festival: Jackson County Bank (drive thru ATM) * West end of festival: PNC walk up ATM & Old National Bank (stand alone ATM in drive thru)
  • Are there restrooms on the festival grounds?
    Yes, restroom locations are marked on the festival map.
  • Can I get food and drink at the festival?
    Yes, our festival has over 60 food booths. Alcohol is available at our Biergarten. We ask that you please do not bring outside food or drink.

  • Are there bands and performers at the festival?
    Yes, we have live performances at the festival. Check out our schedule of events for more informaiton.
  • Where are the hot air balloon events?
    The hot air balloon events are located in the grass lot at the corner of N. Walnut St. & W. 5th St. across from Redeemer Lutheran Church.
  • When is the hot air balloon glow?
    The hot air balloon glow is on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
  • When is the hot air balloon race?
    The hot air balloon race begins on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
  • Do you offer rides in the hot air balloons?
    No. We do not offer rides during any of our hot air balloon events.
  • When is the carnival open?
    Wednesday: 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. Thursday: 5 p.m. - 11 p.m. Friday: 1 p.m. - 11 p.m. Saturday: 1 p.m. - 11 p.m.
  • When can I use my ride bracelet?
    You can choose to use your bracelet on ONE of the following days. Wednesday: 5PM - 10PM Thursday: 5PM - 10PM Friday: 1PM - 5PM
  • Can I purchase individual ride tickets?
    You can purchase individual ride tickets at the midway. Each ride may require multiple tickets.
  • Where can I purchase ride bracelets?
    You can purchase discounted ride bracelets leading up to the Seymour Oktoberfest. More information can be found at: https://www.seymouroktoberfest.com/carnival
  • What type of rides are available at the carinval?
    The ride selection can vary each year, but we try to have a number of rides for all ages. There are also carnival games.
